CONVENTION DAY ONE (WELCOME SERVICE)
FULL SUMMARY

The Convention commenced with an energetic worship session led by the praise team. Pastor P.B. Ewenla was then introduced as the general moderator for the opening session and led the congregation in prayer. The choir was called upon to lead the congregation in songs, including teaching them the theme song for the Rehoboth Convention. They further uplifted the atmosphere through praise, worship, and hymns.

Next, Pastor Oyedotun took the bible reading from Psalm 136:1 – end. Pastor Amos Adeleke (IP, Region 11) was then invited to lead the congregation in a prayer of gratitude for the previous year’s convention. Pastor Femi Omowunmi, the General Secretary, introduced and called upon the General Overseer, Pastor E.O Abina, who officially declared the Rehoboth Convention open.

The CEU (Child Evangelism Unit) delivered an awe-inspiring presentation. The General Overseer and the patriarch of GOFAMINT blessed and prayed for all the children who participated in the presentation, as well as their leaders. Pastor Emmanuel Alabi, the leader of the CEU, expressed gratitude to General Overseer, and the CEU concluded their part with the song “My tomorrow must be greater than today.”

The moderator for the evening session then invited Pastor Deji Ayeni, the District Pastor of Sango-Otta, to oversee the collection of offerings. As the offerings were being received, the choir continued to offer soul-lifting praise to God.

A voiceover introduction of the minister was made after which the minister for the night (Pastor Idowu Jinadu – District Pastor, Mushin District) began his ministration on a very high note of exegesis from Jeremiah 18:1 – 6

The word of God is the acting force of God in the lives of people
The word of God is a living force in peoples’ lives.
Nothing happened until the word of God came into existence.
For you to have a change in the situation, you must locate the word of God that is assigned to that situation.
The master key of life is the word of God

PART 3: MOVEMENT TOWARDS DIVINE DIRECTION
Life without direction leads to destruction
Obedience to leaders and divine directions leads to distinctions in life.
Obedience is the key to eating the fruits of the land
Obedience brings blessings.

PART 4: THE MOULDING OF THE POT
Allow the potter (God) to take over every decision of your life, just as the clay yields to the turnings of the potter.
You are not a finished product yet; God is working in and on everyone.

PART 5: THE MEANING OF THE PARABLE
Jehovah is the potter and the humans are the clay. God is the creator and lifter of people in life. If God isn’t ready to raise any man, no matter what the man does, the man can never be raised.
In everything, yielding to God is a prime determinant of our results in Him.
“And the potter made another vessel as it seems good to him”. – A better you will emerge after this convention.

PRAYERS
You will go beyond contact and teleport into having connections with Jesus Christ.
Where there is drought by the word of the Lord, I command abundance of rain.
Every Assyrian terror holding you in captivity, God would deliver you.
Every rod of iron shall be broken to pieces in your life in the name of Jesus.
Father, as I come to the potter’s house, lay your hand upon me, your hand of promotion, favour, breakthrough, lay it upon me.
Father tonight as the pot in the hand of the potter, break me and mould me.

Pastor Aina Jerome, Regional Pastor, Region 11 intimated to the congregation about the camp rules, thereafter Pastor Kudoro took the announcement. Pastor (Prof) Ewuola said the benediction.
