Holy Spirit Empowers Believers

Acts 1:1-8

Part of God’s plan and purpose for the Church in particular and for the human race in general is to be accomplished using believers. This part includes evangelising and ministering to the needs of people. In carrying out her part, the Church will encounter opposition from the devil, from the world and from human agents of the devil. On her own, the Church cannot succeed in this work unless she is empowered from above. That is the reason why Jesus instructed the disciples not to venture out of Jerusalem until they have been empowered by the Holy Spirit. There was a difference between the ability and attitude of the disciples before and after the coming of the Holy Spirit.

Point of Emphasis:    For the Church to fulfil her mandate, we need to be empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Prayer Point:             Father, send the Holy Spirit into our Churches to empower us to sustain the coming revival.

LE SAINT-ESPRIT DONNE AUX CROYANTS DE L’AUTORITE  

ACTES 1 :1-8

Une partie et le but de Dieu pour l’Eglise en particulier et pour la race humaine en général, sont d’être accomplis par le biais des croyants. Cette partie inclut évangéliser et pourvoir aux besoins des gens. En jouant son rôle, l’Eglise fera face à l’opposition du diable, du monde et des agents humains du diable. L’Eglise ne peut pas à elle-même réussir dans cette œuvre à moins qu’elle soit fortifiée d’en-haut. C’est pourquoi Jésus instruisit les disciples de ne pas s’aventurer hors de Jérusalem jusqu’à ce qu’ils aient reçu une puissance du Saint-Esprit. Il y avait une différence entre la capacité et l’attitude des disciples avant et après la venue du Saint-Esprit.                            

Point essentiel : Pour que l’Eglise accomplisse son mandat, nous avons besoin d’être fortifiés par le Saint-Esprit.

Axe de prière : Père, envoie ton Saint-Esprit dans nos églises pour nous fortifier afin de maintenir le futur réveil.
