DAILY BIBLE READING

 Speak With Tongues

Acts 10:44-48

In the house of Cornelius, as they were listening to Peter’s message with rapt attention, the Bible records that the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word and those who accompanied Peter to the place were astonished because the “gift of the Holy Spirit” (v. 45) had been poured out on the Gentiles and they heard them speak with tongues (v. 46) and glorify God. Speaking with tongue is therefore an initial evidence of the Holy Spirit baptism as well as a gift of the Holy Spirit. It is specifically given for personal edification and devotion of believers and God can also use it to pass His message across to His people during public worship through those who have the gift.

Point of Emphasis:     Peter’s entourage were astonished because the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured on the Gentiles.

Prayer Point:              Lord, let the Holy Spirit fall on us and impact the gift of tongues to us.

PARLER EN LANGUES

ACTES 10 :44-48
