Marriage Is Honorable

Heb. 13:1-6

The background to the statement of the writer of the Book of Hebrews about marriage might have been informed by the teaching of the Essence who brought disrepute to the marriage institution and to the teaching of some who believed that celibacy makes one to be spiritually superior to those who are married. But the writer of Hebrews says marriage is honorable in all. This means honor is to be shown to the marriage relation by both parties. It should not be dishonored by any violation of the marriage vow. One way to honor the marriage vow is not to defile one’s bed. This means that every man must cleave to his own wife and every wife must cleave to her own husband because God will judge or punish all fornicators and adulterers.

Point of Emphasis:         Honor your marriage by keeping your marriage vow faithfully.

Prayer Point:                  Lord, help me to do things that will bring honor to my marriage.

LE MARIAGE EST HONORE  DE TOUS

HEBREUX 13 :1-6
