Turn From Wicked Past

Ezek. 16:59-63

Everyone has a sinful past, when he lived in disobedience to the laws of God. When revival comes, the sinner is convicted of his sin, he becomes ashamed of the sinful past and turns to God for cleansing through the blood of atonement. Before conviction sets in, a person is likely to feel alright – with a feeling of “I am not that bad, there are so many people who I am better than”. During revival, the person is confronted with God’s standard, realises he has fallen short of the glory of God, repents and seeks forgiveness. We cannot continue to live in sin and ask that grace abound. Individually and collectively, we need to abandon our old sins and worldly desires and seek God’s face. Then the time of refreshing will come from God’s presence.

Point of Emphasis:     Be ashamed of your sinful past, then I will provide for you an atonement.

Prayer Point:              Father, help us forsake all our shameful past and become new creatures You want us to be.

DETOURNE-TOI DE TON MAUVAIS PASSE

EZE. 16 :59-63

Chacun a un passé de pécheur quand il vivait dans la désobéissance aux lois de Dieu. Quand le réveil s’installe, le pécheur est accusé par son propre péché, il a honte de son passé de pécheur et tourne à Dieu pour qu’il le purifie par le sang de réconciliation. Avant que la conviction n’entre en ligne de compte, une personne semble se porter bien – avec ce sentiment de ‘je ne suis pas si mauvaise que ça, il y a beaucoup de gens par rapport à qui je suis mieux’. Pendant le réveil, la personne est confrontée au modèle de Dieu et réalise qu’elle est déchue de la gloire de Dieu, se repent et demande le pardon. Nous ne pouvons pas continuer à vivre dans le péché et demander à ce que la grâce abonde. Individuellement et collectivement, nous avons besoin de délaisser nos anciens péchés et désirs mondains et de chercher la face de Dieu. C’est alors que le temps de rafraîchissement viendra de Dieu.

Point essentiel : Aie honte de ton passé de pécheur, alors je te donnerai une réconciliation.

Axe de prière : Père, aide-nous à abandonner tout notre passé honteux afin de devenir les nouvelles créatures que tu veux que nous soyons.
