Love One Another

Jn. 13:31-35

When Jesus was rounding off His ministry on earth at the table of the Lord’s Supper, He gave the disciples a new commandment that will guide them through this wicked world. He told them as He is telling the church again and again this morning, that we should love one another. He added a clause, you are not to love your fellow brethren with any kind of love. Your love must not be based on your terms and principle, but it must be just as Christ loves. How has Christ loved us? He gave His life for us. Your love for others must be the one that is ready to give all that you have just like Jesus. Go extra miles and do the extra things in your bid to show Jesus’ kind of love.

Point of Emphasis:         Love is the hallmark of Christian discipleship.

Prayer Point:                  Lord, help me to love my brethren just as Jesus loves us.

S’AIMER LES UNS LES AUTRES

JEAN 13 :31-35              

Quand Jésus concluait son ministère ici-bas à la table de la cène du Seigneur, il fit un nouveau commandement à ses disciples, lequel les guidera à travers ce monde méchant. Il leur dit comme il le répète à maintes reprises à l’église ce matin que nous devons nous aimer les uns les autres. Il ajouta une condition, tu ne dois pas aimer tes frères et sœurs d’un amour de quelque genre que ce soit. Ton amour ne doit pas se baser sur tes conditions et tes principes mais doit être tout comme Christ aime. Comment Christ nous a-t-il aimés ? Il a donné sa vie pour nous. Ton amour pour les autres doit être du genre prêt à  donner  tout ce que tu as tout comme Christ. Donne-toi à fond pour faire l’impossible dans ta tentative de démontrer le genre d’amour de Jésus.

Point essentiel : L’amour est typique de l’apostolat chrétien.

Axe de prière : Seigneur, aide-moi à aimer mes frères tout comme Jésus nous a aimés.
