Place Of Praises In Prayer

Ps. 100

Many Christians consider praising God as a necessary prelude to the serious business of praying for those needs we want God to attend to. Their attitude is to quickly get over the praises so the real business can begin. David was a man who knew that praising God is a serious business. Those who approach the throne of grace, gain access through praises and worship to God. They are never in a rush to present their prayer requests until they have spent quality time praising God. We need to praise God for Who He is – the Almighty God, the Alpha and Omega, the Sustainer, the Protector, the Provider etc. Praise God for His character qualities – merciful, patient, forgiving, knows everything, present everywhere, loving and gracious. Thank Him for all He has done in your life – answered prayers, deliverance from the attacks of the enemy, provision for your needs, salvation of your soul, the eternal hope He has given. Worship Him in songs and words.

Point of Emphasis:        Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; be thankful to Him.

LE ROLE DES LOUANGES DANS LA PRIERE

Beaucoup de chrétiens considèrent les louanges de Dieu comme un prélude nécessaire à l’affaire sérieuse de prier pour ces besoins pour lesquels nous désirons l’intervention de Dieu. Leur attitude est de finir rapidement avec les louanges afin que la vraie affaire puisse commencer. David fut un homme qui sut que louer Dieu était une affaire sérieuse. Ceux qui s’approchent du trône de la grâce y ont accès grâce aux louanges et à l’adoration à Dieu. Ils ne s’empressent jamais de présenter leurs besoins jusqu’à ce qu’ils aient un temps précieux pour louer Dieu. Nous avons besoin de louer Dieu pour ce qu’il est – le Dieu Tout-puissant, l’Alpha et l’Omega, le Support, le Protecteur, le Fournisseur, etc. Louer Dieu pour les qualités de son caractère: miséricordieux, patient, pardonnant, sachant tout, présent partout, aimable et plein de grâce. Loue-le pour tout ce qu’il a fait dans ta vie – prières exaucées, délivrance des attaques de l’ennemi, provision de soins, salut de ton âme, l’espérance éternelle qu’il t’a donnée. Adore-le avec des cantiques et des paroles.

Point essentiel : Entrez dans ses portes avec des louanges, dans ses parvis avec des cantiques! Célébrez-le, bénissez son nom!

Axe de prière : Je loue ton nom, O Dieu, pour ta miséricorde et ta bonté envers moi.
