Full Commitment To Christ

Heb. 5:7-14

One of the indices of spiritual maturity is one’s commitment to Jesus Christ and His Church. Spiritual growth does not happen by accident. It comes by conscious and persistent effort of the individual. Spiritual growth demands conscious effort to study the Word of God and commitment to obeying His commands. Many remain in the Church years and decades without growing spiritually. They are not ready to make commitment to serve God, neither are they ready to commit themselves to obedience in the word of God. They remain spiritual babes all their lives. Do you blame others for your lack of spiritual growth? You cannot delegate the responsibility of your spiritual growth to others. You need to put conscious effort to go deeper in the Lord.

Point of Emphasis:        Jesus was wholly committed to the work, which God gave Him. We should not do less.

Prayer Point:            Grant me the spirit of commitment to Your work, oh God.

ENGAGEMENT TOTAL A CHRIST

HEB. 5 :7-14

Un des indices de la maturité spirituelle est notre engagement à Jésus-Christ et à son église. La croissance spirituelle n’a pas lieu par hasard. Elle arrive par un effort conscient et persistant de l’individu. La croissance spirituelle exige un effort conscient d’étudier la parole de Dieu et de s’engager à obéir à ses commandements. Beaucoup restent dans l’église pendant des années et des décennies sans croître spirituellement. Ils ne sont ni prêts à s’engager à servir Dieu ni prêts à s’engager à obéir à sa parole. Ils demeurent toute leur vie des nouveau-nés spirituels. Attribues-tu aux autres la responsabilité de ton manque de croissance spirituelle ? Tu ne peux pas déléguer la responsabilité de ta croissance spirituelle aux autres. Tu as besoin de faire un effort conscient pour aller en profondeur avec le Seigneur.

Point essentiel : Jésus s‘était entièrement engagé à faire l’œuvre que Dieu lui avait confiée. Nous ne devons pas en faire de moins.

Axe de prière : Accorde-moi l’esprit d’engagement à ton œuvre, oh Dieu.
