Blessed Are The Peacemaker
Matt. 5:9; 1 Cor. 1:11
We must not deceive ourselves, there cannot but be people who fight with each other in the church because we come from different backgrounds and there is a limit to what some people can endure and many other reasons as well. However, God’s plan is for such people to be reconciled, have the dispute settled and be more accommodating. Those who are involved in the processes of reconciliation are called peacemakers and God loves such people and calls them His children. The people of Chloe’s household were not in support of the contentions that were going on in the Corinthian church. Though they could not settle the problem, they took a positive step toward resolving it by reporting the matter to Paul. You are not doing the right thing if you are covering up things that can divide the church and not exposing them in love.
Point of Emphasis: Be a peacemaker and not a peace-breaker or trouble-maker.
Prayer Point: Lord, help me to love peace, pursue peace and be a peacemaker always.
