Don’t Bury Your Gift

Matt. 25:14-30

When a person is given a gift, the expectation of the giver is that he or she will find it useful in one way or the other. But when the recipient of the gift refuses to use it, the giver will begin to think probably the gift is not appreciated or that he or she has even made a mistake to have given such a gift to the person. When the Holy Spirit gives believers His gifts, He expects each of them to use it and not to hide or bury it. The one given one talent did not make use of it because he felt that his master had short-charged him. But at the end, the Master was right because even if he had given the servant twenty talents, he would either not use them or lose the initial capital with no profit. His end was not to be desired.

Point of Emphasis:         Use your gift for Christ and don’t hide it.

Prayer Point:                  Lord, help me to use the gift given to me according to my ability and profit You with it.

N’ENTERRE PAS TON DON

MATTHIEU 25 :14-30

Quand une personne reçoit un don, ce qu’espère celui qui lui a donné ce don est qu’elle se rende compte de son utilité d’une manière ou d’une autre. Mais quand le récipiendaire refuse de s’en servir, celui qui lui a donné le don commence à penser probablement que le don n’est pas apprécié (à sa juste valeur) et qu’il s’est trompé d’avoir donné un tel don à la personne. Quand le Saint-Esprit donne des dons aux fidèles, il s’attend à ce que chacun d’eux l’utilise et de ni le cacher ni l’enterrer. Celui qui n’avait reçu qu’un seul talent n’en avait pas fait usage car il pensait que son maître a été injuste envers lui. Mais en fin de compte, le Maître avait raison car s’il lui avait donné vingt talents, il n’aurait ni l’utilisé ni perdu l’argent initial sans aucun profit. Sa fin ne laisse pas beaucoup à désirer.

Point essentiel : Utilise ton don pour Christ et ne le cache pas.

Axe de prière : Seigneur, aide-moi à utiliser le don qui m’a été donné selon ma capacité et que cela te profite.
