Hiding your Life From God Is Terrible

Isa. 29:10-16

The inhabitants of Jerusalem felt secure and continued their religious festival as usual. The people hid their way from God and did not recognise their spiritual poverty and their need to cry to Him in repentance and prayer. God eventually removed them from their place in His kingdom (Rev. 2:5). The terrible judgment coming upon Jerusalem did not involve total destruction. This miracle of God did not accomplish a thorough repentance and true obedience in them. A devastating judgment came during the Babylonian invasion (605, 597 and 586 BC). There are some believers today who hide their real identity from God, they praise and honor God with their lips without having real love for Him. This results to spiritual blindness and deception (v. 14). Hiding your true identity from God is suicidal, therefore amend your ways today.

Point of Emphasis:         Woe to those who walk deceptively before God.

Prayer Point:                  Lord Jesus, help me to be open and straight forward in my walking with You.

C’EST TERRIBLE DE CACHER TA VIE A DIEU

ESAIE 29 :10-16
