The Holy Spirit Is For All

Believers Joel 2:25-29

Long time before the advent of Jesus, God had given the promise of pouring out His Spirit unto all flesh. This promise does not include those who refuse to repent of their sins; rather it implies that no gender, no race or colour, no stratum of the society and no tribe shall be excluded. In the circle of some believers, it is assumed that only the ministers should strive to be filled with the Holy Spirit as if the Church members are second class believers. The Holy Spirit was sent to teach and guide every believer and to empower every believer for service. In some congregations, speaking in tongues and other manifestations of the Holy Spirit are discouraged for the fear of false spirits. If you have not been baptised in the Holy Spirit, your Christian journey will be full of struggles; it will be impossible for you to be mature spiritually. You need to hunger and thirst for you to be baptised.

Point of Emphasis:        Baptism of the Holy Spirit is meant for all believers.

Prayer Point:            Holy Spirit, come afresh into our midst, come and empower us.

LE SAINT-ESPRIT EST POUR TOUS LES CROYANTS

JOEL 2 :25-29

Longtemps avant l’avènement de Jésus, Dieu avait fait la promesse de répandre son Esprit sur toute chair. La promesse n’inclut pas ceux qui refusent de se repentir de leurs péchés, plutôt il implique qu’aucun sexe, aucune race ou couleur, aucune strate de la société et aucune tribu, ne sera exclu. Dans le cercle de certains croyants, on présume que seuls les ministres doivent s’ingénier à être remplis du Saint-Esprit comme si les membres de l’église sont des membres de seconde classe. Le Saint-Esprit fut envoyé pour enseigner et guider chaque croyant et d’habiliter chaque croyant pour le service. Dans certaines congrégations, le parler en langues et d’autres manifestations du Saint-Esprit ne sont pas encouragés par crainte d’esprits immondes. Si tu n’as pas encore été baptisé du Saint-Esprit, ton voyage chrétien sera plein de difficultés; il te serait impossible d’être spirituellement mûr. Tu as besoin que tu sois assoiffé et affamé d’être baptisé.

Point essentiel : Le baptême du Saint-Esprit est fait pour tous les croyants.
