We Ought To Love One Another

1 Jn. 4:7-21

We are being enjoined this morning that we ought to love one another. As children of God bought by the same blood of Jesus, having the same pursuit of going to the same heaven, and for ever living with God. Apostle John is saying that there should be nothing that should hinder us from loving one another. He told us what the love of God had done for us and concluded that if God so loved us unconditionally, sacrificially, wonderfully, there should be nothing under heaven that a brother or sister can do to us that must make us hate him or her. We may offend each other, but our love for one another must compel and propel us to settle our difference without bitterness.

Point of Emphasis:         If God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

Prayer Point:                  Lord, help me never to hate or be bitter towards my brethren but rather to love them all without partiality.

NOUS DEVONS NOUS AIMER LES UNS LES AUTRES

1JEAN 4 :7-21

On nous exhorte ce matin que nous devons nous aimer les uns les autres en tant qu’enfants de Dieu rachetés par le même sang de Jésus, ayant la même poursuite d’aller dans le même ciel et d’y vivre à jamais avec Dieu. L’apôtre Jean dit qu’il ne doit rien exister qui puisse nous empêcher de nous aimer les uns les autres. Il nous dit ce que l’amour de Dieu a fait pour nous et conclut que si Dieu nous a ainsi aimés inconditionnellement, merveilleusement et de façon sacrificielle, il ne doit rien exister sous les cieux qu’un frère ou une sœur puisse nous faire qui puisse nous amener à le/la  haïr.  Nous pouvons nous choquer les uns les autres mais l’amour que nous avons les uns pour les autres, doit nous obliger et nous stimuler à résoudre nos différends sans amertume.

Point essentiel : Si Dieu nous a ainsi aimés, nous devons aussi nous aimer les uns les autres.

Axe de prière : Seigneur, aide-moi à ne jamais haïr ou montrer de l’amertume contre mes frères mais plutôt à les aimer tous sans partialité aucune.
