THE TASK CANNOT FINISH UNTIL …
Message from Pastor (Dr) E. O. Abina, The General Overseer of GOFAMINT

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come… And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned… So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen (Mt.24:14, Mk.16:15,16,19,20).

The task which the Lord Jesus did and commanded the church to continue has been rightly called The Great Commission. It is great in scope and length; it is great in enlargement and size. No other business is as great and lasting as it is. It appears to be a tedious task but it has a lasting and eternal reward.
The Lord gave the Great Commission about two thousand years ago, yet the work has never finished. Why? (a) Because all nations have not heard the gospel even in this age of technology (b) every creature (human being) has not heard the gospel as a witness to them so that they might be without excuse “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, (Rm. 1:20) Sinners are being born into the world daily in hundreds and thousands. A lot of people are to be reached with the gospel because Christ is the only hope of the world, no any other ruler, He is the only hope.

Therefore none of us should feel that we have done enough in preaching the gospel; no, you would have done enough by the time there would be no single sinner in the world and not until then. The eye of Jesus is on you wherever you are, it does not matter whether you are young or old, male or female, master or servant, you are there for Christ and for your church. You and I her Christ’s agents on earth to do this work. God will hold us responsible for the present generation in which we are living. That is the more reason every child of God should take seriously the task of winning souls into the Kingdom of God. We are set to depopulate the Kingdom of hell and populate the kingdom of heaven; you and I are the hope of Jesus to do this, so let us start from our Jerusalem- our home, family, relations, acquaintances and to the rest of the people in the world. The task continues till Jesus appears in the sky and receives us to Himself.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. (ICor.15:58). And when the task is over, we shall wear a crown. (Amen)

Amen.
