SUMMARY – DAY TWO (Morning Session)
After yesterday, one thing is settled: the glory of God is evident. Today we go all in, and if you haven’t set your expectations, now is the time.
The morning opened with “Blessing Prayer Rain,” led by Evangelist Duyilemi, as the congregation asked God to rearrange their lives and routines for glorious encounters throughout the convention.
Pastor Engr. Tunde Ojo introduced the moderator, Pastor Gabriel Lordacquit (RP, Region 22), who invited Pastor Philip Akinola (RP, Region 19) for the opening prayer. The choir led praise and worship, lifting hearts in adoration. National Evangelist Ayebe followed with prayers from Genesis 21:1, for divine visitation, open heavens, undeniable testimonies and miraculous intervention and the church sang Hymn 225, “More Holiness Give Me,” asking God for more of the fruit of the Spirit. Pastor Sunday Adu, Assistant General Overseer (Foreign Mission), was introduced digitally for the morning tonic. Scripture’s way, he said, is the way of peace.
SUMMARY (DAY TWO)
EVENING SESSION
So… pull up a seat, because this evening had a lot going on and we want to make sure you don’t miss a thing.
The evening session started with Evang. Egbekoya (AGE Operations) leading the congregants in prayer, after which the praise team took us into joyful praises, and Hymn155 set the atmosphere beautifully.
Pastor Oginni Stephen (RP, Region 20) led Special Intercessory Prayers themed “New doors for GOFAMINT in every nation and continent”. “Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations…” He as well charged us to pray in the spirit. It was such an electrifying moment.
The Guest Speaker for the night, Rev. Samson Ajetomobi (G.O, Men of Issachar Vision & PFN Chairman, Oyo State) was introduced after which he ministered with a word from John 4:34-35. He ministered on Lift Up your Eyes.
Some of the few quotes in his ministration was;
The secret of continuous supply is in obeying the great commission.
Lifting up your eyes means stop seeing yourself and start seeing what God is doing.
What you see forms, interprets and defines you.
If all you see is yourself, you will only see yourself and dream of yourself.
He asked us something worthy of thought, if Coca-Cola can reach a land where the Gospel has never been heard, what are we doing with the Gospel of Christ?
He encouraged us to move to the field, and signs and wonders will follow us there.
The Missions reports were taken in succession from the Home, Africa & Foreign missions department.
Pastor Emmanuel Afolabi (A.G.O Training and Development ) closed the night with a charge on “Service; Key to a Glorious Future”. He highlighted that “service is not just church activities, It is why we were created”. “God rewards consistent service not seasonal”.
We were sincerely blessed tonight and we are confident that our lives will never remain the same and we will never see Missions the same way anymore. The night ended with announcements from the general moderator (Pastor Engr. Tunde Ojo) after which the benediction was said and the congregation dispersed.
