The Gift of Faith

Acts 13:6-21

During his first missionary journey, Paul and his team encountered Elymas who was trying to dissuade Serguis Paulus, the proconsul from accepting Jesus. This situation angered Paul and he was moved by the Holy Spirit to silence Elymas and pronounce that he should be blind for a season and it was so. Even though Paul was still young in the faith and he had not done such a thing before, the Holy Spirit moved him to pronounce blindness and it was so. The gift of faith is a supernatural endowment by the spirit whereby that which is uttered or desired by the believer or spoken by God, eventually comes to pass.

Point of Emphasis: Without faith, it is impossible to please God.

Prayer Point: Holy Spirit, send the gift of faith to Your Church in Jesus’ name.

LE DON DE LA FOI

ACTES 13 :6-21

Pendant son premier voyage missionnaire, Paul et son équipe rencontrèrent Elymas qui essayait de dissuader Sergius Paulus, le proconsul d’accepter Jésus. Cette situation mit Paul en colère et fut poussé par le Saint-Esprit de faire taire Elymas et de prononcer qu’il soit aveugle pendant une certaine période et cela fut ainsi. Quoique Paul fût encore jeune dans la foi et qu’il n’ait pas fait chose pareille auparavant, il fut poussé par le Saint-Esprit de prononcer l’aveuglement et cela fut ainsi. Le don de la foi est une dotation surnaturelle par l’esprit en ce sens que ce qui est dit ou désiré par le croyant ou affirmé par Dieu, aura éventuellement lieu.

Point essentiel : Sans la foi, il est impossible de plaire à Dieu.

Axe de prière : Saint-Esprit, envoie le don de la foi à Ton Eglise au nom de Jésus.
