Restored Mind
Eph. 4:17-24
The un-regenerated man has a mind which is at enmity with God. Such mind focuses on things of this world, follows the dictates of the carnal flesh and is proud of actions that do not bring glory to God. All the things the mind focuses on have no eternal value. The Bible describes such mind as futile. The Christian is redeemed from such futility; he is given a restored mind which is able to appreciate eternal things, comprehend God’s plans and purposes and is able to work together with God in bringing these plans to pass. Early in the Christian journey, the renewed mind still struggles with carnality. Spiritual maturity is allowing the Holy Spirit to nurture the mind in the knowledge of God and understanding of spiritual things. Do you still think and act like your unbelieving friends? Do you still think like a spiritual babe in spite of your years in the Church?
Point of Emphasis: Be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable will of God.
Prayer Point: Father, I do not want to remain a spiritual babe, give me a heart of understanding.

L’ESPRIT RETABLI
EPH. 4 :17-24
L’homme non-renouvelé a l’esprit qui est inimitié contre Dieu. Un tel esprit se concentre sur les choses de ce monde, suit les injonctions de l’affection de la chair et est fier des actions qui ne rendent pas gloire à Dieu. Toutes les choses sur lesquelles se concentre l’esprit, n’ont pas de valeur éternelle. La Bible décrit de tel esprit de futile. Le chrétien est racheté de telle futilité; on lui attribue un esprit rétabli capable d’apprécier les choses éternelles, de comprendre les plans et les desseins de Dieu et capable de travailler en collaboration avec Dieu en vue de l’accomplissement de ces plans. Tôt dans le voyage chrétien, l’esprit renouvelé lutte encore avec la chair. La maturité spirituelle est de permettre au Saint-Esprit de nourrir l’esprit dans la connaissance de Dieu et la compréhension des choses spirituelles. Penses-tu et agis-tu encore comme tes amis/amies incrédules ? Est-ce que tu continues à penser comme un nouveau-né (bébé) spirituel malgré les années que tu as passées dans l’église?
Point essentiel : Sois transformé par le renouvellement de l’intelligence, afin que tu discernes quelle est la volonté de Dieu, ce qui est bon, agréable.
Axe de prière : Père, je ne veux pas demeurer un nouveau-né (bébé) spirituel, donne-moi un cœur qui raisonne.
