For The Promise Is Unto You

Acts 2:30-40

From this passage, certain truths are observed. First, repentance is the first step to receiving the Holy Spirit. Second, water baptism usually precedes Holy Spirit baptism, except in few occasions where God works in miraculous ways like that of Cornelius household. Third, the promise of the Holy Spirit is not for selected few, it is not for the rich, it is not for only the ministers of God, rather the promise is for you – you who think you are nobody in the Church, you that no one recognises, you who is feeble spiritually and want the help of God etc. Fourth, the promise is not only for you but for your children and for those whom the Lord will eventually call into the Christian fold.

Point Emphasis:          The promise of the Holy Spirit is for all genuine believers.

Prayer Point:              Lord, let there be fulfilment of the promise of the Holy Spirit in my life and ministry.

CAR LA PROMESSE EST POUR VOUS

ACTES 2 :30-40

De ce passage, on constate certaines vérités. Primo, la repentance est le premier pas pour recevoir le Saint-Esprit. Secundo, le baptême d’eau précède toujours au baptême du Saint-Esprit, sauf dans quelques occasions où Dieu œuvre de manière miraculeuse comme celle de la maison de Corneille. Troisièmement, la promesse du Saint-Esprit n’est pas réservée à quelques privilégiés, elle n’est pas pour les nantis, elle n’est pas la seule affaire des serviteurs de Dieu, la promesse est plutôt pour toi – toi qui penses n’être rien dans l’église, toi que personne ne reconnait, toi qui es spirituellement faible et désire l’aide de Dieu etc. Quatrièmement, la promesse n’est pas pour toi seul mais pour tes enfants et tous ceux que l’Eternel appellera éventuellement à se joindre au cercle chrétien.

Point essentiel : La promesse du Saint-Esprit est pour tous les chrétiens sincères.

Axe de prière : Seigneur, que la promesse du Saint-Esprit s’accomplisse dans ma vie et mon ministère.
