Spiritual Maturity Is Behavioral

Lk. 6:43-49

There are many Christians with accurate mental knowledge of the word of God, but whose character and lifestyle are ungodly. Churches are proliferating and getting bigger but the society is none the better for it. Worship centers are springing up by the day, yet the country is neck deep in ungodliness. The behaviours of many do not have any bearing with their faith profession. It is good to study the Bible and know what it says about every situation but spiritual maturity goes deeper by allowing the word to mould one’s character and lifestyle. A spiritually mature Christian is likened to a good tree, which cannot bear bad fruit. The heart of the spiritually mature has been purged of all forms of evil, hence it is not possible for evil thoughts or behaviour to emanate from it. Do you call Jesus your Lord and yet you do not do the things which He says?

Point of Emphasis:        You will know the spiritually mature by the fruit he brings forth.

Prayer Point:            Father, purge my heart from within. Help me that my behavior and character will bring glory to Your name.

LA MATURITE SPIRITUELLE EST COMPORTEMENTALE

LUC 6 :43-49

Il y a beaucoup de chrétiens qui, malgré leur connaissance mentale exacte de la parole de Dieu, ont des caractères et des styles de vie impies.  Les églises prolifèrent et s’agrandissent mais la société n’en bénéficient pas pour le mieux. Les lieux d’adoration surgissent de jour en jour, encore est-il que le pays est trempé dans l’impiété jusqu’au cou. Les comportements de beaucoup de chrétiens ne se rapportent/correspondent pas à leur profession de foi. C’est bon d’étudier la Bible et de savoir ce qu’elle dit au sujet de chaque situation mais la maturité spirituelle va plus loin en permettant à la parole de façonner notre caractère et notre style de vie. Un chrétien spirituellement mûr est comparé à un arbre qui ne peut pas porter de mauvais fruits. Le cœur de la maturité spirituelle a été purgé de toutes les formes du mal, d’où il n’est pas possible que de mauvais comportements et pensées en émanent. Appelles-tu Jésus (ton) Seigneur et que tu n’arrives pas encore à faire les choses qu’il dit ?

Point essentiel : Tu connaitras la maturité spirituelle par le fruit qu’elle produit.

Axe de prière : Père, purge mon cœur de l’intérieur. Aide-moi afin que mon comportement et mon caractère puissent glorifier ton nom.
