Holy Spirit Gives Life
2 Cor. 3:2-14
God uses men as instrument of revival but the power behind revival is truly the Holy Spirit. Man can put together a detailed programme for reviving the Church. Without the work of the Holy Spirit, the programme cannot convict the sinner neither will it restore the backslider nor revive a Church on spiritual decline. The sermon may be theologically accurate and the preacher may be very eloquent yet, without the work of the Holy Spirit, the congregation remains cold and unresponsive. It is the Holy Spirit who gives power to the programme, the sermon and the ministration of the preacher. The Holy Spirit convicts the sinner, awakens the slumbering backslider and puts fire into the cold and unresponsive heart.
Point of Emphasis: The letter kills but the Holy Spirit gives life.
Prayer Point: Holy Spirit, give life to all our programmes and bring revival into our Churches.

LE SAINT-ESPRIT DONNE LA VIE
2CO. 3 :2-14
Dieu se sert des hommes comme des instruments de réveil mais la puissance derrière le réveil est en réalité le Saint-Esprit. L’homme peut mettre ensemble un programme détaillé pour ranimer l’Eglise. Sans l’œuvre du Saint-Esprit, le programme ne peut pas accuser le pécheur, non plus restaurer le rétrograde et ranimer une église en voie de déclin spirituel. Le sermon peut être théologiquement juste et le prédicateur éloquent mais toujours est-il que sans l’œuvre du Saint-Esprit, la congrégation restera froide et sans réaction. C’est le Saint-Esprit qui donne la puissance au programme, au sermon et au service du prédicateur. Le Saint-Esprit accuse le pécheur, tire le rétrograde de son sommeil et met le feu au cœur froid et sans réaction.
Point essentiel : La lettre tue mais le Saint-Esprit donne la vie.
