Have Dominion Over Sin

Rom. 6:10-23

Paul rounded off his discussion on the import of water baptism with the lesson that believers should learn from it. Just like the dead person is freed from sin and just like Jesus had victory over death at His resurrection, believers also must have dominion over sin. They must not yield any part of their bodies as instrument of unrighteousness to sin but rather instrument of righteousness unto holiness. They must constantly remind themselves that they are no longer the old persons but rather a new creation in God and their ways of life must justify that identity in Christ.

Point of Emphasis: Sin must no longer have dominion over you.
