It Is Not Good For Man To Live Alone

Gen. 2:15-25

It is interesting to note that the idea of marriage originated from God. He created Adam and put him in the Garden. As Adam was tending and keeping the garden alone, God discovered that he needed an helper like himself. God said, “it is not good for the man to live alone” (v. 18). If God said something is not good, that means it is not good. God initiated marriage so that couples can help one another. In a family where only one person is contributing to the welfare and progress of the home and the other partner is indifferent, the couple is not fulfilling God’s purpose for the marriage institution. Both partners must work together for the success of their home.

Point of Emphasis:         The man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed.

Prayer Point:                  Lord, help me to be an help meet indeed for my life partner.

IL N’EST PAS BON QUE L’HOMME SOIT SEUL

GE. 2; 15-25

C’est intéressant de noter que l’idée du mariage tire son origine de Dieu. Il créa Adam et le plaça dans le jardin. Comme Adam cultivait et gardait le jardin seul, Dieu découvrit qu’il a avait besoin d’une aide. semblable à  lui. Dieu dit : « Il n’est pas bon que l’homme soit seul» (v.18). Si Dieu dit que quelque chose n’est pas bon, cela veut dire que cela n’est pas bon. Dieu initia le mariage afin que les couples puissent s’entraider. Dans une famille où c’est seulement une personne qui contribue au bien-être et au progrès de la famille et que l’autre partenaire reste indifférent(e), le couple n’est pas en train d’accomplir le dessein de Dieu pour l’institution du mariage. Les deux partenaires doivent travailler ensemble pour le succès de leur famille.

Point essentiel : L’homme et la femme étaient tous deux nus, et ils n’en avaient point honte.

Axe de prière : Seigneur, aide-moi à être une véritable aide pour mon /ma partenaire de vie.
