Religion Devoid Of Godliness

2 Tim 3:5-9

Paul refers to those who say that they are Christians but do not manifest God’s power that has saved them from sin. Category of these people can find themselves in leadership position. They have the title but not the mantle. The best way to identify if you are in this group is to ask yourself, “am I in opposition or indifference to the essential truths of the gospel?” If yes, change. Don’t imitate the stupidity of Jannes and Jambres because you won’t go far. Perhaps, you know such people. stay away from them.

Point of Emphasis:         “Always learn and come to the knowledge of the truth” (v 7)

Prayer Point:                  I determine today to chase qualities that will build godly character and integrity in me in the name of Jesus.

Paul  se réfère à ceux qui disent qu’ils sont chrétiens mais qui ne manifestent pas la puissance de Dieu qui les a sauvés du péché.  La catégorie de ces gens peut se retrouver en position de leader. Ils détiennent le titre mais n’ont pas le manteau. La meilleure façon d’identifier si tu appartiens à ce groupe est de te poser la question suivante : « Suis-je du côté de l’opposition ou dans l’indifférence aux vérités essentielles de l’évangile ?» Si oui, change! N’imite pas la stupidité de Jannès et de Jambrès car tu n’iras pas loin. Connais-tu peut-être de telles personnes? Eloigne-toi d’elles.

Point essentiel : « Apprenant toujours et ne pouvant jamais arriver à la connaissance de la vérité» (verset 7).

Axe de prière : Je me résous aujourd’hui à poursuivre les qualités qui bâtiront en moi des caractères et de l’intégrité pieux au nom de Jésus.
