Moses Chose To Identify With Israelites

Exo. 2:7-12

There is no record how old Moses was when he was taken into Pharaoh’s palace. By the time he saw the Egyptian terrorizing the Israelites, he was about forty years. He must have spent about thirty years in the palace, enjoying all the pleasures and comfort of the palace. His decision to defend the Israelite could not have been an impulsive action of a teenager. He was old enough to know the price he would be paying by taking this decision. His up-bringing the few years he lived under his mother must have become a seed, which germinated and blossomed, to make him decide to cast his lot with the oppressed Israelites. Moses killing of the Egyptian drew the ire of the Pharaoh who could not have forgotten Moses was an Israelite by birth. He would have killed Moses had he been able to lay his hand on him.

Point of Emphasis:      Moses made a conscious decision to identify with God’s people even if it cost him his life.

Prayer Point:               Father, help me to take the right decisions prompted by the Holy Spirit.

MOISE CHOISIT DE S’IDENTIFIER AVEC LES ISRAELITES

EXODE 2 :7-12
