Disciples Prayed For The Holy Spirit

Acts 1:6-14

Though Jesus had promised that the Holy Spirit will be sent to the disciples, yet they gathered together to pray for the promise to be fulfilled. They did not go to bed, expecting the promise to be fulfilled instead, they prayed. They continued with one accord in prayer. The motive for their prayer was the same – they wanted the Holy Spirit to come and empower them. If such prayer meeting is called today, the attendance will be very poor because while some want the Holy Spirit, others want prosperity and others want deliverance from the enemy. It is high time we collectively sought God’s face for the revival of our Church.

Point of Emphasis:    They all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication for the Holy Spirit.

Prayer Point:             Father, unite our hearts to seek Your face with one accord for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
