A Measure of Faith

Rom. 12:3-8

Paul is speaking in this passage in the light of different gifts given to believers but he made a point which we should consider. He said God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. This invariably means that there is no one who comes to God at salvation that God did not give a seed – faith to. He has given each one a “limited portion” of faith. This limited faith can be referred to as saving faith (Eph. 2:8). However, upon coming to God, each believer is to make his or her faith in God grow because this growth of faith will be the basis of God distributing His gifts to believers in His service. What have you done with the measure of faith given to you, is it growing or stunted?

Point of Emphasis: God has given to everyone a measure of faith.

Prayer Point:            Oh Lord, help me to grow my faith in You.
