I WILL HELP YOU

“I will lift up my eyes to the hills – from whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD who made heaven and earth…”, “For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, fear not I will help you” Fear not, you worm Jacob, You men of Israel! I will help you, says the LORD. And your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel” (Ps. 121:1-2, Isa. 41:13,14).
Dear believer who is looking for a help or an helper; and it looks as if no help is forthcoming from anywhere, here is the voice of the One who never fails, the help of the helpless and the defender of the defenseless. He says: “I will help you, and He said that twice in the Isaiah text. Be of good courage, you have an helper who is an helper indeed. If you are a Christian and a child of God, this promise is for you today.
Your Creator and your Maker says: “I will help you”. Our God is the present help in times of need. He had never failed in any battle, He did not fail to help and feed Israel in their wilderness Journey when there was no water, He provided water even from the rock, when there seemed to be no change of diet, He supplied them with quails and manna from heaven. He is the Owner of the heavens and the earth and all the fullness in them. Perhaps you think that you do not love Him as you ought with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your might, yet He loves you and says “I will help you”.
Peradventure the burden of your problem is weighing you down and the hope to rise is almost gone, like Elijah you sighed and said, “It is enough! “Now, LORD, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers” But God is saying to you right now: “I will help you”. He who did not let Elijah die even when he wanted to; because he thought he was helpless, the same is the LORD who says: “I will help you. Perhaps you want to give up praying because it appears answers are not forthcoming but your God says: “I will help you”, delay is not denial. Is there any of your needs you think God is not able to meet? No, there is nothing that is good for you which God doesn’t have, remember His word which says: “For the LORD God is a sun and shield. The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold, from those who walk uprightly”. My Christian brothers and sisters, this promise is for you also, your God who loves you more than your earthly father does, will not withhold any good thing from you. Only be of good cheer, and rest upon His promise, He says: I will help you. Like the Psalmist be sure as from now that your help will come from your God who made heaven and the earth and says to you: fear not, I will help you. Replace your fear with faith in the Almighty God and you will have a testimony to share. Release your faith in His promise and all will be well.
Prayer Points
(1) Thank you LORD for your promise that you will help me, I stand on this promise.
(2) O Lord, by your grace; turn my fear to testimony in Jesus name.
(3) O Lord, deliver me from my enemies in Jesus name.
