An Escape Route From Sexual Immorality
1 Cor. 7:1-5
Sexual drive is given by God and is natural to both male and female. It is however, a desire that must be given expression within the confine of marriage only. There are people whom God gave the ability to suppress the drive to satisfy sexual urge and can therefore remain single without fornicating or indulging in sexual fantasies. For the rest who find it difficult to live without satisfying the sexual urge, marriage was instituted by God as a way out. Sexual relationship between a male husband and a female wife, who are married, is not sinful. No matter what secular counselors say, pre-marital sex is sin before God. Secular counselors may teach a single person how to indulge in pre-marital sex and avoid the physical consequences, but there is no way to escape spiritual repercussions. For married couples who have problems in sexual relationship, there is no reason why they shouldn’t go for counseling or medical help as appropriate. Spouses should not use abstention from sex as a weapon to settle quarrels.
Point of Emphasis: Because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.
Prayer Point: God, deliver all those who are already in the trap of sexual immorality.
