Meditate On Bible Passage Read

Ps. 119:41-48

Meditation on the word of God is a process of recalling the Bible passage that had been read earlier, taking time to ponder over it. It is focused thinking about a Bible verse in order to discover how its truth can be applied to one’s life. During meditation God uses the verse to transform our minds so we begin to think and act like Jesus. It is a time when we receive answers to perplexing questions of life – a time when God opens our understanding to discover how He works and deals with His people. It is also a time to receive the key and direction to success in life. Take time to think deeply about what the verse is saying; visualise the scene in your mind; personalise it; pray on it. Ask yourself questions: Is there a sin to confess; a promise to claim and attitude to change; a command to obey? Is there an example to follow? Is there an error to avoid? Is there something to thank God for?

Point of Emphasis:        Those who meditate on God’s laws are like trees along a river bank – they never wither.

Prayer Point:            Revive me, oh God, as I meditate upon Your Word.
