Absence Of The Holy Spirit

Jn. 20:19-27

After Jesus was crucified, the disciples went into hiding because of the Jews. Jesus came to reassure them and promise them the Holy Spirit. Until the Holy Spirit came at Pentecost, the disciples were a group of frightened believers who were not sure of what might happen to them. The Holy Spirit empowered them and embolden them to preach the gospel and to confront the antagonists. Without the Holy Spirit’s empowerment, the Church would have died at infancy. The need of the Holy Spirit in reviving the Church has not lessened. Without the Holy Spirit, the Church can only engage in activities that cannot bear any lasting fruit. And there are many activities going on in which carnal Christians give birth to carnal followers.

Point of Emphasis:    The Holy Spirit alone can bring lasting revival into the Church.

Prayer Point:             Holy Spirit, come down, we need You. Come in Your great might power to revive Your Church.

L’ABSENCE DU SAINT-ESPRIT

JEAN 20 :19-27

Après la crucifixion de Jésus, les disciples se cachèrent à cause des Juifs. Jésus vint à les rassurer et leur promit le Saint-Esprit. Les disciples étaient un groupe de croyants effrayés qui n’étaient pas sûrs de ce qui pouvait leur arriver jusqu’avant l’arrivée du Saint-Esprit à la Pentecôte. Le Saint-Esprit les autorisa et les enhardis à prêcher l’évangile et à confronter les antagonistes. Sans l’autorité du Saint-Esprit, l’église serait morte dès ses débuts. Le besoin du Saint-Esprit pour le réveil de l’Eglise n’a pas diminué. Sans le Saint-Esprit, l’Eglise ne peut que s’engager dans des activités incapables de porter tout fruit durable. Il existe plusieurs activités en cours dans lesquelles les chrétiens charnels donnent  naissance aux adeptes charnels.

Point essentiel : Seul le Saint-Esprit peut apporter un réveil durable dans l’église.

Axe de prière : Saint-Esprit, descends, nous avons besoin de toi. Viens dans ta grande puissance ranimer l’église.
