The Dead In Christ Will Rise First

1 Thess. 4:13-18

In this passage, apostle Paul turned his attention to another area of deficiency in the Thessalonians’ understanding of the things that will happen to those who have died and been buried in the Lord. Just like today, many Christians have no understanding of this passage because of the sorrowful way they normally react when a beloved in Christ sleeps in the Lord. Paul told the people that during the rapture, the dead in Christ will have the privilege of being the first to rise from the dead and those alive will be changed and empowered to meet the Lord in the air. Thereafter, both the dead in Christ and the living shall remain to be with the Lord. The Lord will take living believers to the place He is presently preparing for them (Jn. 14:2-3).

Point of Emphasis:          Whether dead or alive, what matter most is to go with Christ at rapture.

Prayer Point:                                     Lord, I must not miss the rapture, whether dead or alive.

LES MORTS EN CHRIST RESSUSCITERONT PREMIEREMENT

Dans ce passage, l’apôtre Paul porta son attention vers un autre domaine de déficience chez les Thessaloniciens à savoir leur entendement des choses qui se passeront avec ceux qui sont morts et qui ont été ensevelis dans le Seigneur. Tout comme de nos jours, beaucoup de chrétiens manquent de saisir le sens de ce passage à cause de la triste manière dont ils réagissent normalement quand un bien-aimé en Christ dort dans le Seigneur. Paul dit au peuple que pendant le ravissement, les morts en Christ auront le privilège d’être ressuscités premièrement parmi les morts et les vivants seront changés et fortifiés à la rencontre du Seigneur dans les airs. Après quoi, les morts en Christ et les vivants resteront à la fois pour être avec le Seigneur. Le seigneur emmènera les croyants vivant au lieu qu’il est en train de préparer à présent pour eux. (Jean 14:2-3).

Point essentiel : Quoique mort ou vivant, ce qui importe le plus est d’aller avec Christ pendant le ravissement.

Axe de prière : Seigneur, je ne dois pas rater le ravissement soit vivant soit mort.
