Fellowship, A Place To Demonstrate God’s Love

Jn. 17:14-23

There is so much division within the Church today because love is lacking. The Father loves the Son and the Son loves the Father. The love is so much that they are one. Jesus has also demonstrated this love to the Church by offering Himself to die for the Church. “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends” (Jn. 15:13). “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another” (Jn. 13:34). Our congregations should be the place where we demonstrate the kind of love which God has shown to us. When such love is shown, the Church becomes a beacon of light to unbelievers, telling them the great things God has in store for them. Right now we all still need to work on ourselves, because that love is lacking. We need to fix the cracks and bridge the gaps.

Point of Emphasis:        God’s kind of love will make us one, as example to the world.

Prayer Point:            Father, grant us the grace to love one another that our Church is set aglow with Your love.

L’ASSEMBLEE, LIEU OU DEMONTRER L’AMOUR DE DIEU

JEAN 17:14-23

Il y a tant de divisions de nos jours au sein de l’église pour faute d’amour. Le Père aime le Fils et le Fils le Père. Cet amour est si grand qu’ils sont un. Jésus a aussi démontré son amour pour l’église en s’offrant lui-même à mourir pour elle. « Il n’y a pas de plus grand amour que de donner sa vie pour ses amis» (Jean 15 :3). « Je vous donne un commandement nouveau: aimez-vous les uns les autres; comme je vous ai aimés, vous aussi, aimez-vous les uns les autres» (Jean 13 :34). Notre congrégation doit être un lieu où nous démontrons le genre d’amour que Dieu nous a démontré. Lorsqu’un tel amour se démontre, l’église devient un fanal de lumière pour les non-croyants qui leur révèle ces grandes choses que Dieu leur réserve. En ce moment, nous avons tous encore besoin de travailler sur nous-mêmes car cet amour fait défaut parmi nous. Nous avons besoin de réparer les fissures et combler les écarts.

Point essentiel : Le genre d’amour de Dieu fait de nous un, comme un modèle pour le monde.

Axe de prière : Père, accorde-nous la grâce de nous aimer les uns les autres pour que notre Eglise rayonne de ton amour.
