Holy Spirit: An Impartial Giver

1 Cor. 12:1-6

The Holy Spirit is the giver of all the diverse spiritual gifts that are distributed to the believers. But someone may ask why has the Holy Spirit given one this type of gift and to brother A or B, another. He may even think that the Holy Spirit is partial in the distribution of His gifts, after all he or she is more fervent than the said brother. But let us know that the Holy Spirit is not partial in the distribution of His gifts. He gives them out to individuals according to their ability and faith development and maturity in Christ. Some immature people who have received certain gifts have destroyed themselves because of the gifts that were supposed to be a blessing to them and their generation.

Point of Emphasis:         There are diversities of gifts but the same spirit.

Prayer Point:                  Lord, help me to appreciate and value the gift You have given me.

LE SAINT-ESPRIT: UN DONATEUR IMPARTIEL

1CO. 12 :1-6

Le Saint-Esprit est le donateur de tous les divers dons spirituels lesquels sont distribués aux fidèles. Mais quelqu’un pourrait se poser la question de savoir pourquoi le Saint-Esprit a donné tel type de don à un frère A et tel autre à un  frère  B. Il pourrait même penser que le Saint-Esprit est partiel dans la distribution de ses dons, qu’après tout qu’il est plus fervent que le frère en question. Mais sachons que le Saint-Esprit n’est pas partiel dans la distribution de ses dons.  Il les distribue aux individus selon leur capacité, le développement de leur foi et leur maturité en Christ. Certaines gens immatures qui ont reçu certains dons se sont eux-mêmes détruits à cause de ces  dons qui étaient censés être une bénédiction et pour eux et pour leur génération.

Point essentiel : Il y a diversité de dons mais le même esprit.

Axe de prière : Seigneur, aide-moi à apprécier et à valoriser le don que tu m’as donné.
