Habitual Fellowship With God

Lk. 4:1622

Jesus made it His habit and custom to go to the synagogue on the Sabbath day to worship. The habit went beyond the Sabbath day routine, it was something that was second nature for Him. In contrast, the book of Hebrews talks of those who forsake the assembly of believers as a usual habit (Hebrews 10:25). A Christian who needs to be prodded to attend Church service or mid-week programmes always invariably does not have meaningful personal fellowship time with God. People do not take in nourishment on their own, neither are they fed in the Church. They remain spiritually malnourished. To grow spiritually, the Christian needs to develop habits that promote growth – habits of fellowshipping together with other believers, of reading the Word of God and obeying what it says, of praising God in all situations, of seeking God’s face on issues and communing with Him in prayer, of listening to sound Christian messages, of taking decisions that are God-glorifying etc.

Point of Emphasis:        Your habit will form your character and eventually determine your destiny.

Prayer Point:            I receive the grace to develop those habits that will promote my spiritual growth in Jesus name.

LA COMMUNION HABITUELLE AVEC DIEU

LUC 4 :16-22
