Accept No Substitutes

Jer. 2:4-13

Jeremiah used vivid analogies and metaphors to describe how Israel had drifted away from God. Israel had broken her covenant with God despite that He had remained faithful to them. We are all confronted with the same temptation of forgetting the goodness and redemption of God while we pursue our own desires and sinful pleasures of the world. Their priests were so insensitive to the presence and power of God. It is amazing for one to be a student or teacher of the word of God without knowing God as a personal Saviour and an intimate friend. It is suicidal to accept a life to pleasure at the deteriment of serving God wholeheartedly.

Point Emphasis:              Don’t accept a substitute, go for the original

Prayer Point:                  Do not allow me to change your glory for what does not profit.

N’ADMETS AUCUN SUBSTITUT

JEREMIE 2 :4-13
