FOCUS: ACHIEVING PROSPERITY OVERFLOW THROUGH THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL
Text: Gal. 3:14, Acts 4:31-35
Insight for effective Prayer
Prosperity is not a simple matter; it cannot be determined merely by the amount of money and material possessions you have. The meaning of success goes far deeper. It can only be measured by the extent to which your inner peace and mental control enable you to be happy under all circumstances. That is real prosperity.
The secret of success and happiness is inside of you. If you have found success and prosperity outside, but not inside, you are not truly successful. A millionaire who is not happy is not successful. I don’t mean that if you have a million dollars you cannot be a success. Whether you are rich or poor, if you get happiness out of life you are a real success.
He is wisest who seeks God. He is the most successful who has found God.
The provision of wealth centers on the application of the Abrahamic Covenant. The personal blessings God bestowed on Abraham by the covenant He made with him are extrapolated as benefits for believers today. According to Kenneth Hagin, Abraham’s blessing was threefold: spiritual, physical, and also financial. Gloria Copeland delights in pointing out that Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph all became extremely rich because of their relationship to the Abrahamic Covenant.
The Gospel is operated under the New Covenant, hence we are fortunate that Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself is the Source all all wealth, for ‘in Him all things consist’(Col 1:17). In Him is the inclusive wealth of the Nations which even Abraham could not gain access to. The wealth of the nations changes hands into our hands as we preach the gospel and the nations are converted. The gospel must spread by prosperity (Zech 1:17), and the wealth must strategically transfer into our hands. In the days when GOFAMINT was fervent with gospel Missions, we were very wealthy, in the sense of being able to spread as the foremost indigenous Pentecostal Church in Missions, we put up the first big auditorium in South West for Christian ministry at Ojoo, we were the first to use Land Rover (a jeep of that time) to be preaching the gospel in interiors, etc. If we did it then, we can do it again, even more strongly, as we pray.
Prayer Points
- O Lord, as it was in the days of the early apostles, let there be an overflow of the prosperity anointing among us, in the name of Jesus
- We receive the anointing to all disgrace satanic arrows of poverty and receive a buoyancy of our finances, in the name of Jesus
- I receive the resurrection power of the Lord Jesus Christ for my wealth to manifest and break every evil hold on our breakthroughs, in Jesus’ name
- O Lord, behold the threatening of our enemies and grant unto us the spirit of excellence and boldness to prosper over them, 10 times better after the order of Daniel in the land of Babylon (Dan. 1:20). in the name of Jesus
- Pray again, ‘Lord Jesus, anoint my eyes to see the hidden riches of this world and thereafter, by a strong and mighty Arm of God, let the riches of the ungodly be transferred into my hands.
- Every satanic resistance to my breakthroughs, crumble, in Jesus’ name
- I take back all the breakthrough keys the enemy has stolen from me, in the name of Jesus
- O Lord, rewrite the financial story of my life and let poverty and lack remain perpetually under my feet in the name of Jesus Christ
- Now open to Isaiah 60:10-15, and begin to use it to declare that men and women shall bless your life with favour, mercy and goodness from this week. Prophesy to yourself that you will rise and shine in the midst of darkness.
- I will not lack any good thing, wealth and riches are in my house, in the name of Jesus
- Open again to Isaiah 45: 1-4, and command that wherever your Cyrus may be, God should fish him out and cause him to begin to fulfil God’s divine purpose for your life this year without delay.
- I refuse to be poor, Christ has redeemed me from the curse of poverty, in the name of Jesus
- Pray that as an anointed priest of God, both long and short distance favours will come to your business, family and personal project in Jesus name.
- I am blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenlies, in the name of Jesus
- I forbid satan to put any disease in my body, I am divinely insured, no weapon fashioned against me shall prosper in the name of Jesus
- Because the Scripture says ‘this gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all nations’ I make myself available to be used of the Lord for a net-breaking miracle of finances that will be used to make fishers of men in all nations through GOFAMINT.
- Pray that by the strength of today’s prayer, we shall make it and celebrate the victory of the cross with great testimonies of Kingdom advancement in Jesus Name.
