Baptism Is For Believers In Christ

Mk. 16:15-20

The instruction of Jesus about preaching the gospel and baptism was clear. There is no confusion at all. The first step is to preach the gospel. Thereafter those who believed in Jesus, by giving their lives to Jesus, should be baptised and they will be saved. But He quickly added a clause “but he that believes not shall be damned” (v. 16). This means, though the person has been baptised in error and may even be in the Church’s register as a member but if he is not genuinely born again, he shall be condemned at the end. This being the case, why don’t you check your salvation status and make amends if faulty, before it is too late.

Point of Emphasis: Don’t put the cart before the horse, be saved before baptism.

Prayer Point:           Lord, I don’t want to be condemned, help me to be saved before baptism.

LE BAPTEME EST POUR LES CROYANTS EN CHRIST

MARC 16:15-20   

L’instruction de Jésus concernant la prédication et le baptême était claire. Il n’y a du tout aucune confusion en la matière. Le premier pas est de prêcher l’évangile. Donc ceux qui croient en Jésus, en lui donnant leur vie, doivent être baptisés et ils seront sauvés. Mais il ajouta rapidement une proposition : « mais celui qui ne croira pas sera condamné» (v. 16). Cela signifie quoique la personne ait été baptisée par erreur avec son nom inscrit dans le registre de l’église comme membre mais si elle n’est pas véritablement née de nouveau, elle sera condamnée en fin de compte. Ceci étant le cas, pourquoi ne pas examiner le statut de ton salut et réparer tes torts au besoin avant qu’il ne soit trop tard.                              

Point essentiel : Ne mets pas la charrue avant les bœufs, sois sauvé(e) avant le baptême.

Axe de prière : Seigneur, je ne veux pas être condamné(e), aide-moi à être sauvé(e) avant le baptême.
