Accountable One To Another

Heb. 3:7-19

In a congregation of serious Bible believing Christians, each member serves as his brothers’ keeper. In this evil and perverse world, it is so easy to get entangled in sin. In a congregation however, without being judgmental, we can help one another to stay clean of these entanglements. When a brother or sister dabbles into sin, the first sign to observe is that he or she begins to avoid the fellowship of other believers. Any time you begin to feel reluctant to attend fellowship, check to see if there is a stain in your garment of holiness. In our fellowship, we should be humble enough to accept correction from other believers. If you are so spiritual or so big that other believers cannot correct you, if you are on the wrong path, then there is danger ahead. There ought to be someone you are accountable to for your actions, someone who can look at you right in the eye and tell you that you are wrong.

Point of Emphasis:        We should exhort one another to holy living in our congregation.

Prayer Point:            I reject the spirit of pride, which would make me reject correction if I am wrong.

Parmi une congrégation de sérieux chrétiens croyants de la Bible, chaque membre sert de gardien à son frère ou à sa sœur. Dans ce monde méchant et pervers, il est si facile de s’empêtrer dans le péché. Cependant sans être catégoriques dans nos jugements, nous pouvons, dans une congrégation, nous aider les uns les autres à rester à l’abri de ces empêtrements. Quand un frère ou une sœur barbote dans le péché, le premier signe à observer est qu’il/elle commence à se dérober à l’assemblée d’autres croyants (frères et sœurs). Toutes les fois que tu commences à sentir en toi la répugnance à prendre part à l’assemblée des frères et sœurs, examine-toi pour voir s’il y a une tache sur ton vêtement de sainteté. Dans notre assemblée, nous devons être assez humbles pour accepter la correction émanant d’autres croyants. Si tu es trop spirituel ou trop grand que les autres croyants ne peuvent pas te corriger quand tu es sur la mauvaise voie, alors il y a un danger qui t’attend. Il doit avoir quelqu’un à qui rendre compte de tes actes, quelqu’un qui puisse te regarder tout droit aux yeux et te dire que tu as tort.

Point essentiel : Nous devons nous exhorter les uns les autres à une vie de sainteté dans notre congrégation.

Axe de prière : Je rejette l’esprit d’orgueil qui pourrait me faire rejeter toute correction quand j’ai tort.
