Disciples Sent To Preach The Gospel

Matt. 10:5-16

Jesus did not carry out the work of winning souls alone. He empowered His disciples and sent them out to preach in all the Jewish towns. The work of evangelism should not be left to evangelists alone, everyone who has accepted Jesus as Saviour should be involved. The empowerment given to the disciples is meant to facilitate the work of winning souls to Christ. We spend considerable efforts praying for power to heal the sick, power to deliver those who are oppressed and power to cast out demons. God is willing and ready to empower us for these signs and wonders if only we are ready to go out and preach the gospel. Any Church that does no engage in active evangelism is a dying Church.

Point of Emphasis:    And as you go, preach, say, “The kingdom of heaven is at hand”.

Prayer Point:             Father, grant us the fire of the Holy Spirit to enable us preach the gospel everywhere we go.
