Love For God Grows Cold

Rev. 2:1-4

The Ephesians Church possessed what appeared to be an excellent spiritual credential – had patience, worked and laboured for God, could not tolerate those who are evil and fake apostles and had persevered in serving God. Yet, God had something against the Church – the love of members for God had grown cold. God is interested not only in what a Christian is doing for Him, He is interested in if either the love for Him is the motivating factor or not. He is also interested in the degree of that love – is it going down or growing higher? Your destination is determined not just by your speed but by your direction. The Ephesians Church whose love was going down eventually died off.

Point of Emphasis:     If your love for God is going down, it is not likely to take you to heaven.

Prayer Point:              Father, put the oil of the Holy Spirit in my lamp that I may not fade away spiritually.

L’AMOUR POUR DIEU DEVIENT TIEDE

 APO. 2:1-4

L’église d’Ephèse possédait et semblait être une excellente référence spirituelle. Elle était patiente, travailla dur et peina pour Dieu et ne pouvait pas tolérer ceux qui étaient méchants et qui étaient de faux prophètes et qui persévérèrent dans le service de Dieu. Encore est-il que Dieu tient quelque chose contre l’église – l’amour des membres pour Dieu est devenu faible.  Dieu s’intéresse non pas seulement à ce qu’un chrétien fait pour lui, mais aussi il s’y intéresse si soit l’amour est le facteur motivant ou pas. Il s’intéresse aussi au degré de cet amour – Diminue-t-il or s’accroit-il ? Ta destination est déterminée non pas par ta vitesse mais par ton sens. L’église éphésienne dont l’amour s’amenuisait  mourut éventuellement.

Point essentiel : Si ton amour pour Dieu s’amenuise, cela peut ne pas t’amener aux cieux.

Axe de prière : Père, mets l’huile du Saint-Esprit dans ma lampe afin que je ne dépérisse pas spirituellement.
