Rapture Will Be Like A Thief In The Night

1 Thess. 5:1-4

The phrase “day of the Lord” refers to a future time when God will intervene directly and dramatically in world affairs. It will include both punishment and blessing. Paul had already taught at length about this and explained that it will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. Some have attempted to fix dates or prove how certain present events fulfil prophecy but they have all failed. This is because no one knows when the rapture will happen. But one clear thing is that it will happen unnoticed and unannounced. It will happen suddenly when no one expects. As a matter of fact, it will happen when many have built false security around themselves. The wicked will not escape the destruction that will come upon them after the rapture.

Point of Emphasis:          As thieves visit their victims unannounced so will be the time of rapture.

Prayer Point:                                     Any time the rapture will take place, help me to be ready and to be rapturable.

LE RAVISSEMENT SERA COMME UN VOLEUR DANS LA NUIT

Le groupe de mots ‘jour du Seigneur’ fait référence à un moment dans le futur quand Dieu interviendra directement et de façon dramatique dans les affaires du monde. Cela comprendrait à la fois la punition et la bénédiction. Paul en avait déjà enseigné à propos en long et en large et expliqua qu’il arrivera inopinément, comme un voleur dans la nuit. D’autres ont tenté de fixer des dates ou de prouver comment certains événements du présent accomplissent la prophétie mais ils ont tous échoué car nul ne sait quand le ravissement aura lieu. Mais une chose claire est qu’il aura lieu de façon inopinée et sans préavis. Il se passera soudainement quand personne ne s’y attend. En fait, il aura lieu quand beaucoup auraient autour d’eux-mêmes de fausses sécurités. Les méchants n’échapperont pas à la destruction qui viendra sur eux après le ravissement.

Point essentiel : Comme les voleurs visitent leurs victimes sans préavis ainsi sera le temps du ravissement.

Axe de prière : Aide-moi à être apte au ravissement toutes les fois qu’il aura lieu.
