FULL SUMMARY DAY TWO

FULL SUMMARY DAY TWO
(MORNING SESSION)

Moderator: Pastor Abioye Meshael, District Pastor Ojoo.
The opening prayer was led by Pastor Bamidele Samuel, the Regional Pastor of Region 17. The praise team led the praise and worship segment. Evangelist Egbekoya, the Assistant General Evangelist, led the congregation in morning supplication, citing Genesis 12:2. The choir led the congregants in gospel hymns, followed by the morning tonic taken by Pastor Sunday Adu, the Assistant General Overseer of Foreign Missions, referencing Isaiah 51:2, Genesis 22:16-18, and Hebrews 11:17.

Pastor Adu emphasized that “the only key to receive all-round blessings is through obedience.” He shared insights on the different phases a man goes through before receiving God’s blessings while describing the phase of preparation, citing Genesis 22:21 and Genesis 21:33, explaining that “God is preparing you today for what you will face tomorrow,” and that “there is always a reward after hardship.” He noted that “God will not test you if He has not prepared you” and that “God tests us to rebuild and refine the grace He has already built in us.”

Speaking further, he described the other phases, such as the phase of examination, or testing, emphasizing that “you don’t understand God’s instruction before you obey,” and that “perfect obedience in the Kingdom is only faith,” referencing 1 Peter 6:1-7. He also highlighted that “the kingdom way is different from the worldly way,” and that in God’s kingdom, “promotion comes through trial and testing.”

Pastor J.J. Udofa took the prayer for the minister and congregants.

Thanksgiving for answered prayers during the past convention was offered by Evangelist Festus (National Evangelist, Region 21) after which Evangelist Falade prayed for those who got answers to their prayers during last year’s convention, and participants were introduced by Pastor Egbeyemi. Following that, prayers were said for non-GOFAMINT members by Pastor S.O. Omowumi. Preceding that was a choir ministration which followed the first teaching by the General Overseer tagged “The Call of Abraham.”

POINTS TO NOTE:
– When God calls you, there must be a separation between you and the world.
– ]When God calls you, He takes you to join His own family.
– Obedience is required when God calls you.
– God may call you into ministry when you are not ready for it. If He calls you, it is expedient to answer His call through thick and thin.
– When you hear the word of God, you are automatically hearing indirectly from him.
CONCLUSION
God is still calling everyone today without prejudice. If you have answered God’s call unto salvation, you are entitled to the blessings of Abraham because you are His seed by faith, but note that the quality of your response to God’s call is very important. (Gal. 3:29)

The closing prayer was said by Pastor Peter Oludimula, while the benediction was said by the General Overseer, Pst. Dr. E.O. Abina.

EVENING SESSION (MISSIONS NIGHT)
SUMMARY

The evening session began with prayer led by the moderator, Pastor Agbeni, followed by praise and worship by the choir. Hymn 155 was sung from the gospel hymn. Evangelist Moses Akinyetun led a special intercessory prayer, requesting God’s intervention to open more doors for GOFAMINT and to clear satanic roadblocks on their way to nations in Africa. He also prayed for spiritual signals to guide where to go. Deaconess Afolabi read the Bible passage.

The missionary reports were then presented: Evangelist Z.I Ilori gave the report for Nigeria, Pastor Tosin Oladapo reported on foreign missions, sharing that 108 students graduated from the Mission School this year, and Pastor Okomolehin highlighted the progress in African missions, including Liberia receiving 1.5 million in financial assistance, a car gift to the national overseer in Kenya, and the establishment of two new assemblies and increased evangelism in Liberia.

The choir ministered next, before proceeding to the message for the night, which was focused on Missions. Pastor Taiwo Fagbuyi took the message with the focus – “The Supreme Sacrifice in Kingdom Business” with references from Romans 10:14-15, 2 Corinthians 12:15, Matthew 6:13, and John 15:16.

He emphasized that answering yes to God’s obligation is an indirect yes to His instructions and that the call to salvation invites us to receive Christ’s redemptive sacrifice. He stressed that responding to the Great Commission is an obligatory assignment and central to our life’s mission and purpose. He pointed out that this task, which includes evangelism, soul-winning, and discipleship, must be pursued tirelessly across generations. Discipleship, he explained, is about mentoring new believers, and he highlighted the importance of supporting missionaries financially, as their work requires both physical effort and financial resources.
Evangelist Shedrach Anyebe then made some announcements before the closing prayer was said by Pastor Emmanuel Afolabi.

Yet another refreshing moment! Glory to Jesus!
