The session continued with Thanksgiving Offering taken by Evangelist Osaro Eboigbe. The announcements were made by the moderator, and the program continued with a choir ministration after which the opening message was delivered by Pastor Dr. Femi Odeyemi, Assistant General Secretary.
Pastor Odeyemi, in his message tagged “The latter rain of Blessings,” stated that
Rain in the Bible is often depicted as a means of blessing from the Lord. It signifies an abundance of provision and increase. It also indicates the presence of God. The scriptural reference for his message was taken from Joel 2:23 – 28; Genesis 6:17; 7:11.
A downfall of rain outpour signifies divine blessings and restoration.
The Preacher further emphasized four aspects of the message, which are
1. Spiritual Rejuvenation (Romans 6:43; Matthew 11:28)
2. Physical Restoration
3. Positioning Yourself to Receiving the Latter Rain
4. Sight, Result or Proof of the Latter Rain
He further emphasized that if one remains in sin, his blessings will be hindered. He gave an altar call after which he invited Pastor John Akinduyi to pray for the congregants.
After the opening message, Pastor Jerome Aina made the announcements, after which Pastor J.J Udofa said the closing prayer and benediction for the session.
