Christ’s Glorious Church
From the passage read today, we saw how the church faced threats from the Jewish religious authorities. They were instructed not to preach in the name of Jesus Christ any more. The religious standing and status of the Jewish leaders were being frightened as the body of Christ was waxing strong, and miracles were happening. The forces of opposition rose against the believers and there was need to take a firm decision. Boldness was required in the face of the emerging threats and the church prayed for it. There is need to pray for courage for our leaders in the church and for ourselves. The disciples needed renewed courage to continue in their evangelism. They prayed to the Almighty God, their requests to preach the gospel were granted. The Holy Spirit gave them the courage to preach the gospel in spiritually dark territories. You need courage in the pilgrimage to Heaven and God is willing to make you bold. God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of boldness (2 Tim 1:7). You should not feel discouraged by what happens around you. Rather, you should boldly decree your desires into existence and God will honour your cry.
Point of Emphasis: We need to be courageous if we must manifest in our world.
Prayer Point: Lord, give us courage to declare Your counsel in our world.
