Understand Mustard-Seed Faith

Matt. 17:14-21

Many believers misunderstand this passage to think that Jesus is saying that if you have a small faith like the mustard seed they can tell the mountain to move. To allow Scripture to interpret Scripture, in Matt. 13:31-32, Jesus gave us the principle of the mustard seed that it grows and becomes a big tree, even the greatest and it is then that it is useful to all. Likewise, God expects your mustard seed faith, given to you at salvation, to grow until it becomes the “greatest” faith, it is then you can use it to move mountains and also use it to benefit other people around you.

Point of Emphasis: Don’t allow your faith to be static in God, grow it.

Prayer Point:            Lord, let my faith reach a level through which I can do great things in You and for You.

COMPRENDRE LA FOI DU GRAIN DE SENEVE

MATT. 17 :14-1    

Beaucoup de croyants comprennent mal ce passage et pensent que Jésus est en train de dire que s’ils ont une petite foi comme un grain de sénevé, ils peuvent dire à une montagne de se transporter. Pour permettre à l’écriture d’interpréter l’écriture, dans Matthieu 13:31-3, Jésus nous a donné le principe du grain de sénevé qui croit et devient un grand arbre voire le plus grand et c’est ainsi qu’il devient utile à tous. De même, Dieu espère ton grain de foi de sénevé, lequel t’a été donné au salut, pour qu’il croisse jusqu’à devenir la ‘plus grande’ foi. C’est ainsi que tu peux l’utiliser pour faire transporter les montagnes et l’utiliser pour faire du bien aux gens qui sont autour de toi.                            

Point essentiel : Ne permets pas à ta foi en Dieu d’être statique. Fais-le accroître.

Axe de prière : Seigneur, permets à ce que ma foi atteigne un niveau par lequel je puisse faire de grandes choses en toi et pour toi.
