There Is No Marriage During Resurrection

Matt. 22:23-33

The Sadducees do not believe in the doctrine of resurrection of the dead. But they knew that Jesus believed in it and has taught about it, and wanting to test Jesus, asked him concerning marriage during resurrection. They gave the case of a woman who was married by seven different brothers in a family in a bid to raise children for the first husband but who all died without children. They now asked, that on the resurrection day, whose wife will she be out of the seven brothers. Jesus answered them that they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but those who resurrect will be like Angels. Though we can’t marry but will recognize ourselves and be happy that we all make it to heaven as a family.

Point of Emphasis:         God is not the God of the dead but of the living (v. 32)

Prayer Point:                  Lord, grant me and all members of my family to partake in Your resurrection.

PAS DE MARIAGE A LA RESURRECTION

MATTHIEU 22:23-33
