Anger Leads To Foolish Actions

Prov. 14:15-19; 19:11

Unbridled anger pushes one to do things that one would never have done. How many men have said hurtful words to their spouses in a fit of rage only to calm down later and regret what they have said? How many women have been left with broken homes because they could not control their anger? We have read in the newspapers about men and women that have been charged for murder because they killed others at the time they could not control their anger. When the fit of anger subsides, the angry person will be left with the irreparable damage he has done while the spirit was urging him on. In order to avoid regrets, it is prudent to keep one’s spirit in check and not give room to anger.

Point of Emphasis:      A quick-tempered man acts foolishly, but a man of discretion is slow to anger.

Prayer Point:               I cast out of my life in Jesus’ name, the spirit of anger that wants to bring shame and regret into my life.

LA COLERE POUSSE A DE FOLLES ACTIONS

PROVERBES 14:15-19; 19:11

La colère déchaînée nous pousse à faire ces choses-là que nous n’aurions jamais faites. Combien de personnes ont proféré des mots blessants à l’ endroit de leurs épouses dans un accès de rage seulement pour les calmer et après regretter ce qu’ils ont dit? Combien de femmes sont laissées avec des foyers désunis parce qu’elles furent incapables de maîtriser leur colère ? Nous avons lu dans des quotidiens au sujet des femmes et des hommes accusés de meurtre pour avoir tué certaines personnes au moment où ils ne pouvaient plus contrôler leur colère. Quand la rage de colère se calme, l’homme fâché sera laissé avec ses dégâts irréparables qu’il fit pendant que l’esprit le poussait avec insistance. Dans le but d’éviter des regrets, il s’avère prudent de maîtriser notre esprit et de ne pas donner libre court à la colère.

Point essentiel : Un homme coléreux agit follement mais celui qui est discret est lent à la colère.

Axe de prière : Au nom de Jésus, j’expulse de ma vie l’esprit de colère qui veut apporter la honte et le regret dans ma vie.
