Message from Pastor (Dr) E. O. Abina,
The General Overseer of GOFAMINT
- For exaltation comes neither from the east Nor from the west nor from the south. 7 But God is the Judge: He puts down one, And exalts another. Ps. 75:6,7
From the Scripture passages above it is evident that the God we serve is a Promoter of His people who actually knows Him and Serve Him. You don’t need to run helter skelter or going to find a so called God Father to get promoted. All you need to do is to fear God, be faithful and diligent in the work you choose as your life career and God will give you what you deserve. Recently we heard the news of two of our faithful people who were promoted to the posts of eminence.
The Holy Scripture is replete of instances of people of God that were promoted even from nobody to somebody; David was one of them he rose from a shepherd boy to become a renowned King in Israel. God referred to him as a man after His own heart who will do His will. He was a shepherd boy and from there to the throne. His father Jesse was never a King but David became king un-expectedly. God has His plan for each of us His children, but we should not run ahead of Him. He has His own time to do what He planned for each of us His children. The Psalmist says: “The Lord will perfect all that concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands” (Ps 138:8)
Like this Psalmist I would like to advise every child of God not to be too much in a hurry for anything you want God to do for you. You just be at peace with Him in every area of your life. One thing we need to know about God is that he is never in a hurry as human beings are. He does His own things as His own time not at your own time. Your own time may be wrong, but He is never late in anything He plans to do. Just follow the advice from the psalmist. “Be still before the LORD; wait patiently for Him and entrust yourself to Him (Ps. 37:7 AMP).
You just have to entrust yourself to Him according to the Psalmist He knows what you deserve and all your needs are not hidden from Him but you need to trust Him that He cares for you as one of His dear children (if you do His will). Just be faithful and diligent in your work. Joseph was very diligent, there is no wonder why he was promoted. David was also diligent and smart. He was later taken from following sheep and rose to a king all of a sudden. The prophet Samuel asked Jesse if he still had any son, he said yes he is taking care of the sheep. Samuel told him to send for him immediately. That day David was anointed as King over Israel. His father had never been a king before.
Your own promotion is knocking at the door. So let us rejoice with those who get their promotion recently and thank God on their behalf
