No Divorce Or Remarriage

Mal. 2:13-16

The rate of failed marriages is increasing and the number of divorcees is growing astronomically in our society. In some countries, one in every two of marriages contracted end up in divorce. People hop from one marriage to another. This is not what God planned marriage to be. God designed marriage to be “till death do us part”. When divorce or separation occurs, much heartache and suffering are unleashed on members of the family. The most vulnerable are the children, who are torn between the warring parties. Most citizens having anti-social tendencies were raised up by single parents. Both parties in the marriage are expected to be committed to the success of the union. Anyone who divorces should not remarry. Most of the problems in our society are the results of man breaking God’s law concerning marriage.

Point of Emphasis: The LORD God of Israel says that He hates divorce for it covers one’s garment with violence.

Prayer Point: We plead the blood of Jesus Christ against every force assigned the duty of breaking marriages.
