DAILY DEVOTIONAL READING
Pray In Jesus’ Name
Jesus promised His disciple that the work He did, the same will be done and even greater things if they believed in His name (verse 14). The disciples were instructed to ask whatever they wanted in the name of Jesus. He assured them that for the Father to be glorified in the Son, He would do all the things they requested in His name. Believers should bear in mind that our requests must be according to the will and word of God. Some people pray with the name of Angels and other beings but there is no Biblical support for their action. Our prayer must be Bible-based. Believers are to make their prayers in the name of Jesus and not in any other name.
Point of Emphasis: Believers are given the name of Jesus to make their prayers.
Point of Emphasis: Help me O Lord to follow the Bible guide for my prayer. I don’t want to ask amiss.
